These terms govern purchases on this website from TaleLamp. Contact: [email protected].

2. What we sell

Personalised digital storybooks in which your child is the main character: the book of 12 stories ($24), thematic packs of stories ($9) and, where offered, an audiobook add-on ($5). A book is delivered as a PDF file and an online reader; the audiobook as audio files. Prices shown at checkout are final and include VAT where applicable.

The stories are written by our AI engine on story plans created by our authors and are checked automatically for length, the child's name, the plot and safety. The illustrations come from our own picture library and are adapted to the appearance you choose. We do not use characters or brands belonging to third parties.

3. How an order works

  1. You describe the hero and read a free story.
  2. You enter your email, accept these terms and agree to immediate delivery (see section 5).
  3. You pay through our payment provider. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed.
  4. We create the book. It is usually ready within a few minutes; in case of technical problems — within 24 hours. You receive a link by email and on the order page.

4. Payment

Your order is placed through our partner Lemon Squeezy, LLC (USA), which acts as the merchant of record: it takes the payment, issues the receipt and calculates and remits VAT/sales tax. We create and deliver the book and are responsible for its quality; the terms below apply to the extent they do not conflict with the Lemon Squeezy terms shown at checkout.

5. Immediate delivery and returns

Every book is created for your child only, so we start right after payment, as you ask us to at checkout. Once creation has begun, a personalised book cannot be returned or exchanged. If creation of your book has not started, you may cancel within 14 days by writing to us and get a full refund. Your statutory rights as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence are not affected.

5a. Gift certificates

A gift certificate entitles the recipient to the product named on it and is valid for 12 months. Until it is used you may withdraw from the purchase within 14 days and get a full refund. Creation of the book starts only when the recipient redeems the code, and the recipient gives the consent described in section 5 at that moment.

5b. "Story of the Week" subscription

The subscription delivers a new short story with your hero every 7 days by email and on a personal page. The fee is charged automatically for each period (month or year) until you cancel — you can do so at any time via the "Manage subscription" link in the email or on the subscription page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and every story you have received stays with you. The first story is created right after payment; by subscribing you ask us to start delivery immediately and acknowledge that once the first story is delivered the right of withdrawal for the current period is lost.

5d. Family Voice subscription

The subscription lets you record up to 2 family voices (for example, mum and dad) in your family account and use them to narrate: every new book ordered while signed in, with the audiobook at the price of the digital book; your family’s stories of the week; up to 5 re-narrations of books you already own per month. Price (month / year): $6.99 / $59; €6.99 / €59; 29 zł / 249 zł. You are charged automatically for each period until you cancel, which you can do at any time via “Manage subscription” in your account. When the subscription is cancelled or ends, a payment is overdue for more than 7 days, or you remove the voice or the account, the voice models are deleted at once; books and stories already narrated stay with you. You may record only your own voice. The voice model is available right after recording, so by subscribing you ask us to start immediately and understand that you then lose the right of withdrawal for the current period. A one-time narration of a single book in a parent’s voice without a subscription is still available on the order page.

5c. Business purchases

Batches of gift codes ordered by a company, school or other organisation and paid by invoice are business-to-business contracts: the consumer rules on withdrawal in sections 5 and 5a do not apply to them, and the terms agreed on the invoice or in our written offer take precedence. Each code is still redeemed by a consumer, who receives all the consumer rights described here.

7. Your licence

You may read, download and print the book for private, non-commercial use, and give it to your family as a gift. The story world, characters, illustrations and texts remain our intellectual property; resale and public distribution are not permitted.

8. Your responsibilities

Please enter only information you are entitled to share (for example, a friend's first name with the family's agreement) and nothing offensive. We may refuse or cancel orders that break these rules; the payment is then refunded.

9. Liability

We are liable in accordance with the law. Nothing in these terms limits the rights of consumers under mandatory law.

11. Final provisions

These terms are governed by the law of Poland; if you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your country of residence. Consumers may use out-of-court complaint and redress procedures, for example their local consumer protection authority. We may change these terms for future orders; orders already placed are governed by the version accepted at checkout.
